Year 1 Athletes Compete for Brightside

Fifteen Y1 children take part in the Hallam University CKG Games at the English Institute of Sport

The games were brilliantly organised by students from Hallam University using the international standard facilities at the EIS. The Brightside children threw themselves into eight events, including hurdles, long jump, javelin and running, with great energy and enthusiasm. Competing against schools from across the city, Brightside finished 5th out of 8. This was a fantastic effort as many of the other competitors were Year 2s. Super effort Brightside! We are proud of you!
