Class 2 Victorian Classroom trip
29 November 2018 (by Ryan Morris (Ryan))
What a great day we had!
Class 2 visited the Old Classroom on Tuesday to find out what it was like to be a pupil at school in the Victorian Times.
The children travelled back in time to 1850 and dressed up as Victorian pupils. The girls loved wearing their pinafore dresses and the boys liked trying on their waistcoats. They were taught by Miss Sharp who was a very strict Victorian teacher. They experienced a lesson learning the 3 'R's- reading, writing and 'rithmetic and found out that school was very different in the past.
In the afternoon, the children played Victorian games and learnt how people washed clothes in the past.
The children had a fantastic day and they were 'exemplary Victorian pupils.' Well done class 2 you made Mr Morris very proud.
