Today has been World Day for Cultural Diversity. The children at Brightside have been finding out about different continents and countries outside Europe.

Reception chose to learn about Jamaica, year 1 selected India and year 2 have been learning about Africa.

The children spent the afternoon learning all about their new places. They tasted food, learnt dances and songs and created artwork. They also watched videos and shared information about what they had found out about the different places. At the end of the afternoon they celebrated what they had learnt in a whole school assembly.
