School Uniform

There is no requirement for pupils to wear school uniform at Brightside Nursery Infant School.

• An optional red or blue sweatshirt, cardigan and polo shirt can be worn. This can be with or without the school logo. An optional book bag with the school logo can also be purchased.

We encourage children to wear ‘active clothing’ to school—garments that allow freedom of movement and are suitable for physical activity in PE. Children will access the outdoors every playtime and lunchtime in all weathers. This includes;

• dark coloured t shirts, polo shirts, cardigans, jumpers, fleeces
• dark coloured leggings, tracksuit bottoms, trousers, shorts, culottes
• sensible footwear such as trainers, boots or school shoes.
• a waterproof coat or puddle suit
• a pair of wellies to be kept in school for outdoor play

PE Kit

Children need a PE kit consisting of a t-shirt, shorts/leggings/tracksuit bottoms and plimsolls. Jewellery should not be worn in PE lessons. Earrings must be removed before the lesson.

Optional Uniform

If you choose for your child to wear our school uniform, it consists of a red or blue sweatshirt/cardigan and a red or blue polo shirt with or without the school logo.

School Trends have a wide range of items available with the school logo on. All garments are made from hard wearing, machine washable fabrics, specially decorated with our school logo. Items are available to purchase directly from their website.
