My name is Emily Furniss and I have two children in reception and nursery. I have been impressed by the care and education my children have received during their time at Brightside. Brightside is
a wonderful school with an outstanding OFSTED rating and I would like to help the school continue to improve and develop.
I am an experienced early years teacher so I have a good understanding of the key stage one curriculum as well as the foundation stage. I am the PSHE lead within my school and I am passionate about safeguarding.
I am keen to support the school in helping all their children achieve to their full potential and can use my experience to help support children of all abilities. My children's future is of the upmost importance to me, therefore I would be delighted to be given the opportunity in also making a difference in the education of not just my children but to the school as a whole.
My name is Lee Rushforth and I have two sons one of whom has just left Brightside and another who is starting his journey in reception.
I have worked within the estates and facilities sector since the age of 16, working my way up to Facilities Administrator for a large law firm to now managing premises and compliance for a large secondary school and eight primary schools.
I'm extremely dedicated to improving the learning environment for all pupils and making sure that not just teachers but every member of staff has the facilities and resources needed needed to achieve the very best and prepare our pupils of today for the everchanging world of tomorrow.
