In design and technology the children in year 2 have been learning all about making sandwiches. They looked at different types of sandwiches and thought about what a good sandwich needed to be.  They were then challenged to design their own healthy sandwich.  They could choose their ingredients and which bread type to use. Today the children made their sandwiches using chopping, cutting and spreading skills. They then enjoyed a picnic on the field. There were some strange flavour combinations such as tuna and jam but most children said how much they loved the taste of their sandwich!
