The Reception children started off community week with a winter performance for the nursery children and Mrs Mercer. They performed the winter dance they have been working on in PE, as well as some songs and music that they have been learning with Mr Webber. All the children worked really hard, and their efforts paid off.. it was a wonderful winter themed morning- Well done Reception! Throughout the rest of the week the children have been learning all about Chinese New Year, as well as the importance of recycling and 'being green'. The children have worked very hard to make two fantastic Chinese dragons- every child has had the chance to make, paint or decorate their class dragon- Well done! We then got to show our dragons and perform our own dragon dance, with musical instruments, to the rest of the school this afternoon. Wow, what a busy week!! We hope you all have a great half term break- you deserve it! The winners of Reception reading challenge are... CLASS 8!!!! Well done Class 8! You will get a special treat during the first week back.
