Students from the University of Sheffield's "Music in the City" project came to Brightside this morning to play their instruments, perform musical stories and play music games with children in Reception and morning Nursery. The children enjoyed the live music experience of hearing clarinet, violin, saxophone and guitar played by talented musicians. They found out what the instruments looked like, how they worked and what sort of sounds they made. Who knew that a guitar could cluck like a chicken, or that the clarinet could neigh like a horse? Thank you to Florence, Amy, Emily and Yuri for sahering their skills with us, and thank you children for making them feel so welcome.
