On Monday afternoon the children were surprised to receive a special letter from ping, a penguin from the South Pole! He explained to the children that the South Pole was quite boring and lonely at times and wondered what it was like where the children lived. So, as part of community week celebrations and in response to Ping’s letter, the reception children thought about what’s brilliant about Brightside. They thought of all the fantastic and fun places that they like to visit at the weekends and school holidays before writing back to Ping.

Keep an eye for Ping as you are out and about in Brightside, you never know you might just bump into him!
