The geography topic in year 2 this half term is 'Why is Brightside a good place to live?' The children will be learning all about their local area and looking at the different features in Brightside. 

As part of the topic, the year 2 pupils visited Greentop Circus in Brightside to learn a new sport.  They were challenged to learn a range of circus skills such as using hanging hoops and balancing on the trapeze.  Greentop Circus will be coming into school over the next 5 weeks to continue teaching the children different circus skills in their PE lessons. This will include juggling, plate spinning and bucket stilts. 

The children loved trying a new sport!  Well done year 2 for your fantastic behaviour and the determination and resilience that you have shown.
